Job summary

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is seeking a Manager, Global Packaging Development in New York to lead complex packaging programs across brands.

You will partner with Marketing, Design, Product Development, R&I, and Manufacturing to deliver innovative packaging while strengthening organizational capability. You will guide technical feasibility, sustainability, cost, and speed to market, mentoring junior staff and driving continuous improvement with AI-enabled research and analytics.

Qualifications

5+ years experience in cosmetic package development.
Experience in beauty or related industry with proven development experience.
Proficiency in computer systems including Unique Package Definition Systems, MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Timeline management systems.
Technical competency in analysis of geometric objects in 2D/3D including clearances, fit and finish of packaging components.
Knowledge of materials used in packaging construction and manufacturing (injection, extrusion, metal, glass, dispensers).

Responsibilities

Lead Packaging Development across multiple projects, brands, or product categories.
Translate brand strategy and consumer expectations into commercially successful packaging.
Drive feasibility, specifications, testing, and commercialization activities.
Lead technical risk management and supplier coordination.
Drive value engineering to improve cost, sustainability, and performance.
Build cross-functional relationships and influence decision-making.
