Job summary

MetroSys is seeking an experienced OT/SCADA Deployment Engineer to support a large-scale Ignition SCADA rollout across multiple industrial locations. You will implement, configure, test, and commission standardized Ignition environments, aligning with client architecture and gold-image templates.

This role emphasizes hands-on deployment, site configuration, equipment connectivity, and troubleshooting rather than platform architecture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in SCADA, OT, or industrial automation.
• Hands-on deployment, configuration, commissioning of SCADA/HMI.
• Experience connecting SCADA to PLCs, field devices.
• Understanding OPC/OPC UA, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, MQTT.
• Troubleshooting field equipment, networks, and SCADA.
• Industrial networking, IP addressing, and OT security basics.
• Follow standardized architectures while adapting to sites.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Work independently with centralized engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure standardized Ignition SCADA environments across sites.
• Install Ignition components using client templates and gold-image configurations.
• Configure site-specific SCADA settings and adapt templates.
• Connect Ignition to PLCs, controllers, and OT equipment.
• Configure and validate device connections, tags, and alarms.
• Troubleshoot communications between SCADA servers, PLCs, and networks.
• Collaborate with plant controls, OT, network, and architecture teams.
• Perform testing, validation, commissioning, and production readiness.
• Identify and resolve deployment issues while following global standards.
• Document configurations, procedures, and as-built environments.
• Provide feedback to improve templates and rollout processes.
• Support deployments as the program expands globally.
