Job summary

Kimmel & Associates is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to serve as SME for OT and SCADA across a diverse fleet of renewable and conventional assets. You will lead troubleshooting, integration, and data infrastructure efforts to ensure reliable operation.

The ideal candidate has extensive Ignition experience (backend and frontend), strong SCADA knowledge, and the ability to mentor other engineers while coordinating with IT and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may substitute.
• Extensive hands-on Ignition experience (backend and frontend).
• Strong SCADA, RTUs, PI data historians, and related OT equipment.
• Experience with renewable energy projects preferred.
• Knowledge of NERC CIP requirements and compliance.
• Travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for OT and SCADA equipment.
• Provide mentorship and expertise to SCADA engineers.
• Troubleshoot and maintain connections between OT equipment, including SEL RTACs, RIGs, RTUs, and data loggers.
• Support facilities utilizing Ignition, CIMPLICITY, WonderWare, ABB SYS600, and SEL RTAC HMI.
• Maintain data connections between operating facilities, remote operations centers, and IT systems.
• Lead SCADA and OT projects with minimal oversight.
• Support technical analysis and reliability initiatives.
• Provide field support and work with site teams to troubleshoot SCADA systems.
