Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. seeks a Global Operations Support professional to manage end-to-end execution of international shipments, ensuring import/export compliance and coordinating with global partners for on-time delivery.

The role requires expertise in international transportation, carrier management, and shipment visibility across all modes, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7 am to 4 pm. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in international freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of import and export processes.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, customs brokerage, and international shipping documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage quotations for international air and ocean freight shipments.
• Coordinate shipments under various Incoterms, understanding buyer/seller responsibilities.
• Arrange and monitor import and export shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Collaborate with overseas agents, freight forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, drayage providers and warehouses.
• Manage customs clearance activities and coordinate with customs brokers to ensure compliance.
• Monitor IT, ITT, and related movements and ensure timely shipments.
• Prepare and validate shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, B/L, notices).
• Track shipment status and communicate updates to customers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate container pickups, deliveries and drayage services.
• Audit costs, close shipment files, and ensure accurate billing.
• Maintain knowledge of international trade regulations and best practices.

Summary

The Global Operations Support is responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of international shipments, ensuring compliance with import and export regulations, coordinating with global partners, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires expertise in international transportation, customs processes, carrier management, and shipment visibility across all modes of transport.

Schedule: Monday through Friday - 7 am to 4 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage quotations for international air and ocean freight shipments.
• Coordinate shipments under various Incoterms, understanding the responsibilities of buyers and sellers throughout the transportation process.
• Arrange and monitor import and export shipments from origin through final delivery.
• Work closely with overseas agents, freight forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, drayage providers, terminals, and warehouses.
• Manage customs clearance activities and coordinate with customs brokers to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Execute and monitor in-bond movements, IT (Immediate Transportation), T&E (Transportation and Exportation), and ITT shipments.
• Prepare, review, and validate shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, arrival notices, and customs documents.
• Track and proactively communicate shipment status, exceptions, delays, and resolutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate container pickups, deliveries, and drayage services while ensuring timely movement of freight.
• Audit operational costs, close shipment files, and ensure accurate and timely customer billing.
• Maintain knowledge of international trade regulations, customs requirements, tariff classifications, and transportation best practices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, agents, and service providers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in international freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of import and export processes.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, customs brokerage, and international shipping documentation.
• Experience handling ocean freight, air freight, drayage, and customs-related processes.
• Familiarity with in-bond, IT, ITT, and T&E movements.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Pay Range: $37.00 - $39.00 per hour- plus incentive plan*

The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
