Job summary

OSM Thome seeks a Deck Foreman to lead lifting operations on offshore vessels worldwide. You will coordinate rigging crews, operate cranes, and ensure compliance with safety standards aboard project sites.

The role requires 6 years of deck foreman experience in offshore construction, strong English communication, and valid BOSIET/H2S training, HSE induction, and PTW familiarity. Rotation schedules and offshore benefits apply; travel worldwide.

Qualifications

• High School / Secondary education completed.
• 6 years as a Deck Foreman within offshore construction.
• Mandatory English language skills.
• Holding valid BOSIET and H2S Training.
• HSE Induction course and Basic Life Support.
• Experience with Permit to Work (PTW).
• ATEX Certificate preferred (training).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct rigging crew and crane operators to safely execute lifting operations.
• Supervise rigging/derigging operations.
• Manage deck space to optimize crane movements and material access.
• Ensure all lifting gear is certified and stored properly.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near-miss events.
• Lead toolbox talks and prepare Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
• Assist during marine operations as required.
