Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in ocean freight imports or international logistics.
• Experience with ISF, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and import documentation.
• Ability to manage high-volume email inbox and communicate updates promptly.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow-through.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage international ocean import shipments from booking through final delivery and container return.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, suppliers, customs brokers, trucking companies, warehouse teams, and internal departments.
• Prepare and provide required import documentation and ISF information.
• Track containers, vessel schedules, delivery deadlines, drayage, and shipment status.
• Monitor activity to avoid demurrage, detention, and delays.
• Troubleshoot shipment issues and communicate changes until resolved.
