Qualifications

• This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented freight professional with a strong understanding of ocean import operations who enjoys managing shipments from origin through to final delivery.
• The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating international ocean import shipments, maintaining strong relationships with overseas agents and customers, and ensuring shipments move efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end ocean import shipments, from origin booking through to final delivery.
• Communicate with overseas agents, shipping lines, customs brokers, trucking companies, and customers to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Track shipments and monitor vessel schedules, arrival dates, and potential delays.
• Prepare and review import documentation, including bills of lading, arrival notices, and commercial shipping documents.
• Coordinate customs clearance, ensuring all required documentation is available and shipments are cleared promptly.
• Arrange inland transportation and final-mile delivery as required.
• Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve operational issues, delays, and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update the internal transportation management system.
