Job summary

Samtec, Inc in New Albany, Indiana, is seeking an experienced NPI Operations Manager to oversee and align all global operations responsible for non-released and new product introduction readiness. This senior role ensures that each new or unreleased product is production-ready on time, on budget, and at the quality standards required—before handoff to volume manufacturing.

Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and regional Plant Managers, the NPI Operations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
NPI process methodology training (stage-gate, APQP, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Experience in manufacturing production operations or engineering with a global/multi-site scope.

Responsibilities

Define and own global NPI operations strategy and objectives across sites.
Lead global NPI readiness reviews before production release to volume manufacturing.
Coordinate with regional directors to align capacity, tooling, and staffing for launches.
Drive development of KPIs (First Pass Yield, on-time launch, ECO cycle time) across sites.
Sponsor and develop NPI operations talent and succession planning globally.
Establish separate operational lanes for new product development vs. production orders.
