Job summary

Point72’s Technology team is building and evolving a high-performance trading network in New York. The ideal candidate leads a global network group, owns the WAN roadmap, and designs ultra-low-latency fabrics for collocated sites and exchanges.

You will drive automation, mentor engineers, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable market data and connectivity for trading activities.

Qualifications

• Production trading network infrastructure experience in colocation environments.
• Expertise in BGP and IP routing for WAN/extranet.
• Low-latency data center fabric design experience.
• Knowledge of load balancers and firewalls for trading infra.
• Experience with multicast market data distribution and feed delivery.
• Time synchronization and packet capture at line rate.
• Leadership or mentorship of engineers and strong ethics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global network team connecting trading strategies to markets.
• Own architectural roadmap for collocated trading WAN.
• Design and operate ultra-low-latency network fabrics.
• Evaluate and monitor inter-site circuits for latency and stability.
• Manage BGP, IP routing, load balancers, firewalls, and segmentation.
• Own market data connectivity and feed delivery reliability.
• Lead venue/broker connectivity onboarding for orders.
• Monitor latency, packet capture, and telemetry.
• Drive automation for changes using AI-assisted approaches.
• Develop engineers and communicate architecture to stakeholders.
