Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Manager of Network Infrastructure to lead a technical 24x7 operations team responsible for large-scale global network infrastructure. You will supervise maintenance engineers, resolve complex engineering issues, manage escalations, and work with datacenter staff and internal and external stakeholders to ensure reliability and performance of Akamai's edge platform.

This role requires 6+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree, experience in Internet infrastructure

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in Internet infrastructure environments, including routing and access networks.
• Experience managing technical teams, including a remote global team.
• Demonstrate a passion for building productive relationships with teams, providers, and partners.
• Be familiar with data center portals and NOC environments.
• Possess solid communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cultivating and providing direct supervision for a group of maintenance engineers.
• Developing, document, refine and maintain operations policies, processes, procedures, and escalations to internal groups and equipment vendors
• Designing, developing, and maintaining alerts and run books to improve fault detection and operational visibility
• Evaluating technical skills of the maintenance team to ensure appropriate expertise
• Determining training needs for solutions and facilitating team training sessions
• Supporting the resolution of high-severity technical incidents and managing remote assets
