Job summary

Google in Haskell, TX is hiring a Network Implementation Engineer to drive deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will partner with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers and field teams to ensure reliable, scalable networks for current and future customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years in DWDM, TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
• 3 years in carrier-class environments, including Layer 1 and Layer 2/3 networking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and QA installation technicians for rack, stack and installation of networking equipment.
• Commission and test routers, optical transport equipment, and other network devices.
• Generate implementation plans and provide technical leadership during deployment.
• Collaborate with project management, network engineering and rest of the team to pre-empt issues.
• Own network documentation and maintain drawings and plans.
