Job summary

Hertz is seeking a Senior Network Field Engineer to lead the delivery of reliable and secure network solutions across global field locations and cloud environments. You will blend hands-on operations with project leadership to modernize the company’s technology landscape, guided by Enterprise Architecture standards.

The role requires 5+ years in enterprise networks, strong LAN/WAN/SD-WAN expertise, cloud networking, and hands-on automation with Python/Ansible/Terraform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years designing and supporting enterprise network solutions in large-scale environments.
• Experience with LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, routing, switching, TCP/IP.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud networks and security basics.
• Hands-on with network automation and IaC tools.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational support for Hertz's global field network, including Tier III troubleshooting and RCA.
• Design and deliver LAN, WAN, and wireless solutions for field projects with standards-based documentation.
• Serve as technical lead for network initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.
• Drive security and resilience through network controls and vulnerability remediation.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and reliability to meet business requirements and SLAs.
• Communicate status and recommendations; mentor teammates and help roadmap infrastructure modernization.
