Job summary

The Hertz Corporation is seeking a Senior Network Field Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of secure LAN/WAN and wireless networks across global field locations. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to modernize infrastructure and deliver reliable, scalable services.

Candidates should have 5+ years in enterprise networking, strong TCP/IP, security, and cloud experience (Azure/AWS). Fortinet expertise and network automation skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years designing and optimizing enterprise network solutions in large-scale environments.
• Experience with LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, routing, switching, TCP/IP, and enterprise infrastructure design.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud networks (Azure/AWS) and security concepts like Zero Trust.
• Hands-on with network automation and IaC (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Fortinet FortiGate/ FortiSwitch/ FortiAP/ FortiManager/ FortiAnalyzer and SD-WAN experience.
• Experience leading modernization, lifecycle programs, and vendor relationships within ITIL/Agile.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational support for Hertz global field network with Tier III troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Design and deliver LAN, WAN, and wireless solutions for field projects with proper documentation.
• Serve as technical lead for network initiatives aligned with architecture, security, and availability standards.
• Drive network security and resilience through monitoring, controls, and remediation.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and reliability to meet business requirements and SLAs.
• Communicate status and recommendations, mentor teammates, and contribute to roadmaps.
