Job summary

Brivo is seeking a mid-level Network Engineer to own the global data center backbone, leading design, architecture, and optimization across continents from our Austin hub. You will work closely with Infrastructure and SRE teams and dive into Juniper EVPN-VXLAN, BGP, IPSec, Linux automation, and cloud integrations to enable secure, scalable connectivity.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on experience as a Network Engineer with Juniper EVPN-VXLAN, advanced routing, and enterprise firewalls.
Working knowledge of core routing protocols BGP/IPSec for scaling global data center networks.
Strong Linux proficiency and ability to automate tasks using Python, Bash, or Ansible.

Responsibilities

Implement, optimize, and scale the global data center backbone to ensure high availability and security.
Contribute to the Juniper EVPN-VXLAN fabric for scalable overlay networks in our cloud environment.
Configure and manage routing protocols (BGP, IPSec) for resilient global connectivity.
Configure and maintain security policies using enterprise-grade firewalls (Fortinet, or similar).
Collaborate with Infrastructure, SRE, and Development teams to integrate networking with compute, storage, and cloud systems (Kubernetes/Ceph).
Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, Ansible) to streamline network provisioning and scaling.
Utilize Prometheus and Grafana for observability and proactive monitoring.
Provide troubleshooting and resolution for network incidents to minimize downtime.
