Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration in Colorado Springs seeks a Principal Engineer Network – Global NetOps Engr III to advance the C2BMC network. You will automate operations, maintain infrastructure, and collaborate across engineering and cybersecurity to deliver mission-ready capabilities.

You will join a dynamic team supporting national defense programs with a strong emphasis on process, reliability, and continuous learning. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher is required at start.
• Current Top Secret clearance required at time of application.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Network Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or related field with 5 years of experience; or Master’s with 3 years; or 9 years of related experience may be considered as an alternative.
• Be able and willing to travel to alternate work locations, including deployments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to create clear presentations using PowerPoint and Visio.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and, when needed, independently on large field or implementation projects.

Responsibilities

• Automate and optimize the Global NetOps C2BMC network environment.
• Develop, document, and maintain deployment and operational processes for network capabilities.
• Work within an Agile team to plan, estimate, and execute work aligned to requirements.
• Design and implement solutions meeting performance, security, and availability requirements.
• Collaborate with network, systems, cybersecurity, and operations teams to deliver integrated capabilities.
• Support real-world events and missions, including nights and weekends as required.
