Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration in Colorado Springs, CO seeks a Principal Engineer Systems – Network Sys Engr III to lead advanced networks engineering efforts for the C2BMC/Missile Defense program. You will own the Networks SE plan, oversee requirements, and drive cross-team collaboration.

The role requires a current Secret clearance, a STEM degree with substantial experience, MBSE expertise, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years experience or Master's with 3+ years; PhD with 1+ year.
• Active Government-Issued 8140 at IAT Level II or higher at start.
• Active Secret clearance required to start and maintain through contract.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering processes and MBSE.
• Experience with large, complex defense systems and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Networks Systems Engineering SME for NES ART and advise on SE issues.
• Lead Networks requirements activities and manage the RTVM allocation.
• Interface NES ART with C2BMC SEIT and ensure standardized processes.
• Develop interface docs, system diagrams, and MBSE artifacts.
• Support government customers and perform engineering reviews.
• Mentor team members to mature engineering practices and DOORS use.
• Be available for on-site work and occasional nights/weekends.
