Job summary

Biogen is seeking a Medical Director, Global Medical Affairs in Nephrology to lead strategic medical initiatives for our IgAN program. The role partners with global experts, develops medical strategies, and drives advisory boards, education, and research projects.

You will collaborate across clinical development, publications, and external stakeholders, with 30–40% travel. The position requires an advanced degree (MD/PhD/PharmD), 10+ years in pharma Medical Affairs, and strong regulatory

Qualifications

Advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy, or related field.
10+ years in pharma with Medical Affairs background.
Experience leading global medical strategy with cross-functional teams.
Strong knowledge of US and international medical regulations.
Willingness to travel 30-40%.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain partnership with key nephrology medical experts and healthcare providers to generate insights informing medical and cross-functional strategy and tactical plans.
Partner cross functionally to generate comprehensive KOL maps across relevant countries to facilitate engagement plans.
Develop and implement cross-functionally aligned medical strategies in support of clinical development programs and launch planning for IgAN.
Lead high impact medical activities, such as advisory boards, medical education, and medical research projects.
Collaborate with clinical development and operations to support programs via site engagement and centers of excellence.
Lead the generation of evidence generation strategy, including investigator initiated research.
Partner with scientific communications and publications to support publication plans and data dissemination.
Identify and advance collaborations with external stakeholders including healthcare and patient advocacy groups.
