Job summary

Biogen is seeking a Nephrology Associate Medical Director to help shape the US medical strategy for AMR and IgAN. You will partner with US Medical, Global Medical, Clinical Development, and epidemiology teams to translate medical insights into execution while supporting external stakeholders and medical materials aligned to regulatory requirements.

You will report to the Nephrology Medical Director and contribute to a diverse, inclusive workforce.

Qualifications

• MD, PhD, PharmD or comparable advanced degree is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably with prior work in Headquarters-based Medical Affairs role &/or Field Medical based role.
• Substitution of industry work with relevant transplant and nephrology clinical practice experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and execution of the US medical strategy and tactics in AMR and IgAN.
• Serve as a key US Medical subject matter expert for cross-functional partners (e.g. US Field Medical, Global Medical, Clinical Development, Epidemiology, Pharmacovigilance, Commercial, Market Access).
• Collaborate with global, regional and/or affiliate medical to ensure all medical activities align with global strategy and keep US insights in view.
• Understand local business needs and provide insights to local commercial teams to align with medical strategy.
• Build and nurture relationships with external stakeholders (KMEs, healthcare institutions, advocacy groups) in AMR and IgAN landscape.
• Contribute to development/adaptation of medical materials for DSMR/PRC requirements (presentations, training materials, briefs, talking points).
• Drive pull-through of medical strategy into tactics by Advisory Board meetings, evidence generation projects, and congress publications.
