Job summary

Pavion in Chantilly, VA, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our shared services team. You will own the monthly close for international entities, manage P&L and balance sheet accounts, and partner with AP, AR, Payroll, Treasury, FP&A and site finance leads to resolve issues at the source.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, a Bachelor's in accounting or related field, strong US GAAP knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across functions to meet reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of at least two accounting disciplines.
• Experience closing books for multiple entities, sites, or business units.
• Experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close in multi-entity environments.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and close processes.

Responsibilities

• Key contributor to monthly close for international entities with an initial 5-day close.
• Manage P&L and Balance Sheet across multiple areas, including accruals, fixed assets, leases, payroll, intercompany, and AP/AR subledgers.
• Research variances and provide timely explanations for monthly fluctuations.
• Own end-to-end close activities across multiple accounting disciplines.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, Payroll, Treasury, FP&A, and site finance leads to resolve issues at the source.
