Job summary

Ingevity seeks a strategic Category Manager - MRO to lead global sourcing and category management across maintenance, repair, and operations spend. You will drive multi-year strategies, supplier relationships, negotiations, and risk management to improve total cost of ownership and supply continuity.

As part of Global Procurement, you will coordinate with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Sustainability, Finance and Legal to deliver measurable value and sustainability objectives worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business and related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, or related.
• Minimum 2+ years managing MRO, facilities, utilities, or industrial services globally.
• Experience negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts and long-term supplier agreements.
• Proven success developing and implementing category strategies in mature procurement orgs.
• Strong knowledge of MRO categories and supplier management practices.
• Proficiency with SAP, Ariba, Coupa; Excel and Power BI for spend analytics.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% globally.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage global spend categories within MRO, developing multi-year strategies.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives to deliver cost savings and value.
• Develop sourcing strategies, improve supplier performance and inventory management.
• Support continuity of supply and collaborate with operations for improvements.
• Negotiate complex contracts and manage the full lifecycle with Legal input.
