Job summary

3M is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Specialist to join our global team. You will identify and address manufacturing process and equipment deficiencies, drive practical solutions and set priorities to move initiatives from plan to execution.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5 years in engineering or manufacturing, and 5 years in heavy industrial operations. On-site at 3M Center in Maplewood MN with up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing technical field.
• 5 years of experience in heavy industrial operations including equipment maintenance.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate manufacturing process and equipment deficiencies; drive solutions and prioritize actions.
• Provide guidance and leadership to plant personnel on best practices for process and equipment operation and preventative maintenance.
• Lead and support high-impact projects to improve plant performance and yield.
• Work across multiple sites and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.
