Job summary

Molex is seeking a Mold Process Engineer to own mold tooling and process development for automotive components. You will advise on manufacturability, lead tooling initiatives, and apply CAE techniques to reduce lead times and capital spend.

You will collaborate with global teams to ensure launch readiness, drive continuous improvement, and deliver production-ready molds on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience in injection molding and tooling
• Hands-on experience with molding machines and ancillary equipment
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability and preventive strategies
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in tooling
• CAD/CAE tools experience and GD&T knowledge
• End-to-end project ownership from qualification to launch readiness

Responsibilities

• Lead tooling initiatives: quotes, DFM, tool approvals, CAE validation and supplier coordination
• Own end-to-end mold development and launch readiness
• Optimize processes using cavity-pressure data and DOE
• Maintain schedules, budgets, and documentation with version control
• Provide troubleshooting for equipment, tooling, and process issues
• Drive tooling cost reduction and on-time mold delivery across sites
