Qualifications

• Typical minimum: 10 years with a Bachelor’s, 8 years with a Master’s, or PhD with 5 years’ related experience.
• Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams delivering mission impact in complex environments.
• Deep understanding of State Department missions, enterprise operations, funding processes, and inter-agency context.
• Comfortable in dynamic, urgent environments with minimal direction.
• Proven ability to lead technical efforts, engage sponsors, translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work on-site at government locations.
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements with State sponsors to translate objectives into integrated capability roadmaps and investment priorities.
• Collaborate with MITRE project leadership to align program execution with State and partner needs to maximize impact.
• Identify and shape new opportunities for MITRE impact in collaboration with project leadership.
• Help shape and execute division strategy with the Division Director.
• Identify joint opportunities with external organizations and inform investment decisions.
• Lead development of proposals for State opportunities with MITRE experts across the corporation.
• Communicate complex technical and mission findings clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
