Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mineral Processing Practice Leader to steer growth, technical excellence, and market leadership in our mineral processing business. This senior role blends deep technical depth with commercial acumen and a passion for developing people.

You will have global reach, substantial autonomy, and help shape the future of mineral processing within a leading mining practice. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, drive feasibility and engineering efforts, and mentor the next

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline and 10+ years of experience in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Mineral Processing Engineering (or related field).
Master’s or PhD in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering preferred or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
15+ years of progressive experience in mineral processing design and engineering.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
Familiarity with international standards and codes.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing technical workstreams, and delivering client-focused solutions.
Willingness to travel globally.

Responsibilities

Lead the growth, technical excellence, and strategic direction of the Mineral Processing practice.
Define technical vision and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and metallurgists.
Drive business development across base metals, precious metals, critical minerals, and industrial minerals markets globally.
Act as a recognized subject matter expert and thought leader, mentoring the next generation of processing engineers.
