Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Reliability Engineer who will be the primary contact for internal customers and vendors, delivering structured maintenance strategies for MHE with a focus on general conveyance to boost performance and extend equipment life.

The role leverages CMMS and OEE data, requires building strong relationships across remote sites and occasional travel across North America, and emphasizes ownership of programs and projects from concept through rollout.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience.
• 3+ years of maintenance or engineering experience.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Experience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments, or experience in reliability/maintenance environments.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or 2+ years of Amazon RME BB/3P Full Time Exempt experience

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability initiatives to maximize equipment Overall Effectiveness, capture best practices, network roll outs, and build feedback into the design process.
• Own programs, projects, and systems to improve efficiency, reduce downtime of critical assets, and lower maintenance costs scalable to all business units.
• Own projects from concept to network roll out, using advanced project management tools (defect mapping, FMEA, Gantt Charts).
