Job summary

Gnostech Inc. in San Diego, CA, is seeking a System Support Specialist to sustain METOC ISEA systems for NAVWAR/NIWC Pacific. The role provides Tier 1–3 support via phone, email, and on-site visits to keep fielded systems operational worldwide, with emphasis on troubleshooting, documentation, and customer coordination.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of related DoD experience, Windows and Linux skills, and the ability to obtain CSWF/IAT certification. U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or C4ISR systems.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
• Ability to obtain CSWF/IAT certification if tasks touch software/security work.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a U.S. government security clearance.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1–3 distance and on-site technical support via phone, VTC, email, chat, or other remote means.
• Identify and isolate problems; inspect and repair systems and equipment; return to full operation.
• Maintain ITSM/CASREP/SCRAT records and document troubleshooting steps for each incident.
• Conduct data analytics to detect system instability and provide proactive customer engagement.
• Provide on-the-job and classroom training for Fleet/FMFD sites.
• Travel to worldwide DoD ashore and afloat facilities as required.
