Corning Inc. is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager, Metals, to define and lead global category strategies for metal commodities across multiple sites. You will drive cost, risk, and supply assurance while collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

The role requires extensive metals sourcing experience, advanced negotiation, and strong financial acumen. The position is based in Charlotte, NC, with up to 10% travel and a compensation range disclosed by the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain with expertise in global category strategies.
• Proven metals or raw materials sourcing experience delivering measurable value in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Advanced negotiation and contracting expertise in volatile and indexed markets.
• Strong financial and analytical capabilities to drive data-informed decisions.
• Executive-level communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead global category strategies for metal commodities, integrating demand forecasts, economics, volatility, and technology roadmaps.
• Develop market intelligence and act as trusted advisor, translating insights into sourcing decisions.
• Lead complex supplier negotiations, including long-term agreements and innovative pricing models.
• Define and implement an integrated operating model across businesses and regions with process excellence.
• Mentor procurement teams to ensure consistent execution of best practices.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Technology teams to align priorities.
