Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Medical Lead, Intercontinental Oncology - Hema-oncology to provide strategic medical input and operational leadership across international medical affairs. The role interfaces with Area commercial teams to shape brand strategies and supports medical/marketing activities and market access.

The position requires advanced oncology experience, strong leadership, and a track record in global cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field with oncology focus.
• 5+ years in medical affairs in pharma or academia.
• 2+ years oncology experience strongly preferred.
• Proven cross-functional leadership and external engagement.
• Strong knowledge of trial methodology and regulatory affairs.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic medical input into core brand strategies and medical affairs plans.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key external experts and societies.
• Collaborate with Clinical Development and TA teams to support pipeline execution.
• Train affiliate resources on therapeutic topics and IIS strategy.
• Oversee medical education for investigators and trial monitors.
• Represent AbbVie at external meetings and regulatory discussions.
