Job summary

EMD Serono, Inc. is seeking a Medical Director to shape and drive the evidence strategy for a high-priority oncology asset. You will lead how medical evidence is defined, prioritized, generated, and executed to support asset strategy and fill evidence gaps.

You will partner with the Global Medical Strategy Lead and a broad network of stakeholders to translate scientific insights into actionable plans that advance medical decision-making and asset success.

Qualifications

• Medical degree is required.
• 5+ years in Medical Affairs or clinical development in global position in oncology.
• 5+ years of oncology experience required including experience with rare tumor types such as desmoid tumors, neurofibromatosis-related tumors, or tenosynovial giant cell tumors.
• 8+ years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience in medical affairs, clinical development, research and development, or evidence generation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integrated evidence generation strategy aligned with unit priorities and asset objectives.
• Identify and prioritize medical evidence gaps and translate them into a differentiated plan.
• Develop evidence generation concepts from questions through study design and execution.
• Build strategic external partnerships to validate priorities and inform study design.
• Support advisory boards and external engagements to gather insights and refine priorities.
• Provide scientific leadership in cross-functional forums to align priorities with asset strategy.
• Translate insights into actionable recommendations for evidence generation and medical planning.
• Foster collaboration across Global Medical and partner functions for efficient execution.
