Job summary

EMD Serono, Inc. seeks a Medical Director in the Global Medical Unit to shape and drive evidence generation for a high-priority oncology asset.

You will define how medical evidence is generated, prioritized, planned, and executed, aligning with asset strategy and addressing evidence gaps. You will partner with the Global Medical Strategy Lead and a broad network of internal and external stakeholders to translate scientific insights into actionable evidence plans that support medical

Qualifications

• Medical degree required.
• 8+ years in medical affairs or clinical development in oncology.
• 5+ years in Medical Affairs or clinical development in global position in oncology.
• 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in medical affairs, clinical development, or evidence generation.
• Experience with rare tumor types (e.g., desmoid tumors, NF-related tumors, tenosynovial giant cell tumors).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of the integrated evidence generation strategy aligned with unit priorities and asset objectives.
• Identify and prioritize medical evidence gaps and translate into a differentiated evidence plan.
• Develop evidence generation concepts from questions to study design and execution with scientific rigor.
• Build strategic partnerships with external experts and investigators for evidence priorities.
• Support advisory boards, scientific exchange, and external engagements to gather insights.
• Provide scientific leadership in cross-functional strategy forums and translate insights into recommendations.
• Collaborate to translate asset strategy into prioritized evidence activities and timelines.
• Maintain deep scientific, clinical, and competitive landscape expertise to inform evidence planning.
