Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Director, Global Medical Evidence Generation Lead, Oncology, to design and execute strategic evidence-generation plans across MA, CRCs, and ISR studies. You will collaborate with Medical Strategy, Clinical Development, HEOR, and regulatory teams to optimize trial designs and data readouts, driving patient impact and scientific leadership.

This role requires an advanced scientific degree and at least 5 years in pharma clinical development or Medical Affairs.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree with clinical development experience.
• 5+ years in pharmaceutical clinical development, Medical Affairs, or related area.
• Deep understanding of clinical research and evidence generation methodologies.
• Deep oncology therapeutic area expertise.
• Ability to strategically analyze data generation opportunities with minimal supervision.
• Strategic thinker with execution discipline.
• Proven ability to develop high-performing external and internal relationships.
• Experience leading cross-functional study teams and governance discussions.
• Willingness to travel ~20% globally.
• Based in NJ: Lawrenceville or Madison.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the integrated evidence generation strategy across trials (Phase II/IV), RWE, registries, and ISRs.
• Critically assess study concepts to ensure alignment with BMS priorities.
• Lead protocol development including objectives, endpoints, eligibility, and statistical considerations.
• Deliver studies from concept ideation through governance approval to data readout.
• Lead methodologies in evidence generation to ensure fit-for-purpose plans.
• Prepare and deliver proposals and updates to governance bodies and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliant execution aligning with GCP/ICH and governance.
• Partner with Clinical Operations and CROs to meet timelines and budgets.
• Participate in advisory boards, steering committees, and scientific forums.
• Collaborate across geographies and therapeutic areas for cohesive planning.
• Contribute to scientific dissemination via publications and presentations.
