Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Registered Professional Engineer (NA) or Chartered Engineer (EMEA/APAC).
• Aspirations toward Principal Professional Associate level.
• Significant design experience on large, multi-discipline, complex buildings.
• History of exceptional leadership and project delivery.
• Recognized technical expert within the local, national, global industry.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive the community of practice.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and develop a network of Technical Experts/Subject Matter Experts across HDR.
• Drive a service-minded culture and establish capabilities for exceptional project execution.
• Develop and implement mentoring and succession strategies for technical expertise.
• Develop and implement communication strategies to tie North American and global professionals for knowledge sharing.
• Create communities of practice around special skills and emerging services.
• Ensure technical excellence and quality in project delivery.
• Lead development of tools, standards, and workflows for project delivery.
• Collaborate with Digital Delivery on digital content and workflows.
• Lead design quality control reviews and quality initiatives.
• Assist teams in leveraging subject matter experts for complex projects.
• Foster innovation and thought leadership in the practice.
• Recruit and retain top talent and position HDR as a market leader in the mechanical discipline.
