Job summary

HDR is advancing building engineering with a focus on high-performance infrastructure and digital delivery. This role leads the mechanical discipline, shaping vision and strategy for growth, and delivering complex multi-discipline projects across HDR's global locations.

You will mentor teams, drive quality and innovation, and collaborate with HDR’s enterprise partners to win and execute critical programs. This is a senior, influential role within HDR’s Building Mechanical group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Registered Professional Engineer (NA) or Chartered Engineer (EMEA/APAC).
• Aspirations toward Principal Professional Associate level.
• Significant design experience on large, multi-discipline, complex buildings.
• Proven leadership and project delivery excellence.
• Recognized technical expert within the engineering industry.

Responsibilities

• Drive the community of practice and partner with stakeholders to build a network of technical experts.
• Lead service-minded culture and establish capabilities across HDR's enterprises.
• Develop mentoring, succession, and knowledge-sharing strategies across the practice.
• Provide design oversight and lead teams on complex projects.
• Promote thought leadership and innovation within the practice.
• Recruit and retain top talent and position HDR as a market leader in mechanical engineering.
