Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical/Electronics Engineering Degree alternative).
• 5 years of leadership experience within an Applications or Field Engineering environment, ideally in the interconnect, electronics, or electromechanical sectors.
• Proven ability to manage global customer relationships and drive technical projects through cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to distill complex technical topics for a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to travel ~15% domestic and international

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Engineering team and oversee project execution.
• Interface between engineering, field application, sales, and customers to translate requirements.
• Guide concept development from customer needs and benchmarks.
• Ensure designs meet requirements with manufacturability and cost targets.
• Support early customer engagement to assess technical viability.
• Provide direction during design reviews and project meetings.
• Coordinate stakeholder communications and track milestones.
• Oversee verification, validation, and testing including FEA and simulations.
• Lead troubleshooting with quality, engineering, and manufacturing.
