Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineering team leader in Nashua, NH. This role drives project execution, mentoring a global engineering team, and serves as the main technical liaison for customers and sales teams.

You will guide concept development, ensure manufacturability and cost-efficiency, and oversee validation, testing, and cross-functional program reviews across Amphenol sites worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of leadership experience within an Applications or Field Engineering environment, ideally in interconnect, electronics, or electromechanical sectors.
• Ability to travel ~15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Mechanical Engineering team, overseeing project execution, customer support, and product implementation.
• Serve as the primary technical interface between engineering, field applications, sales, and key customers.
• Translate complex customer requirements into actionable engineering deliverables.
• Guide concept development using customer needs, benchmarking, existing portfolios, and patent landscapes.
• Ensure designs meet functional, manufacturability, cost, and timeline requirements.
• Support product selection and integration early in customer engagements for technical viability.
