Old World Provisions in New York is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead sourcing across raw meat, packaging, ingredients, and indirect spend, and to personally lead raw meat sourcing and price negotiations with major U.S. meat processors.

Packaging and indirect categories will be managed by a dedicated buyer under the Director's direction. The role carries full accountability for supplier strategy, material cost, inventory, and continuity of supply, with total annual procurement spend of

Formación

• 10+ years of procurement experience in meat or food manufacturing.
• Hands-on raw meat sourcing experience with meat processors or packers.
• Experience negotiating bulk commodity purchases with major suppliers.
• Knowledge of IMPS/NAMP specifications, grading, and yield.
• Experience with frozen and refrigerated raw material inventory and cold chain logistics.
• Experience operating procurement processes within an ERP environment.
• Ability to lead and develop a procurement team.

Responsabilidades

• Set sourcing strategy for raw meat, packaging, ingredients, and indirect spend.
• Direct and oversee a buyer for packaging and indirect categories.
• Hire, develop, and manage performance across the procurement team.
• Own budget and cost accountability across all categories.
• Ensure supplier compliance with USDA, FSIS, and food safety requirements.
• Manage supplier quality and continuity of supply.
