Job summary

Umicore Belgium is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to support daily warehouse operations. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant handling of shipments while maintaining organized inventory and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software.
• Standing and walking throughout facility, navigating warehouse and dock areas safely.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, carry and move materials up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with work instructions and customer requirements
• Verify and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, and purchase orders
• Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage or discrepancies, and distribute materials appropriately
• Report and resolve issues such as shortages, damaged goods, or non-conformance
• Utilize SAP and carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, etc.) to manage shipping and receiving transactions
• Assist with unpacking and repacking specialized materials (e.g., germanium, GASIR)
• Perform cycle counts and monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies
