Job summary

RTX is seeking a highly skilled Materials & Process Engineering Senior Manager to lead a global team and drive the development, qualification, and industrialization of composite and metallic interior components. You will partner across Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to improve manufacturability and speed production.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 7 years of experience.
• Deep knowledge of composite materials, resin systems, bonding, cure processes, finishing systems, and qualification/verification methods.
• Proven experience leading teams, developing technical talent, and building engineering capability.
• Experience in industrialization, production support, and transitioning technology to manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a global Materials & Process Engineering team, fostering technical growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the technical authority for materials, processes, and specifications across interiors product lines, ensuring aerospace regulatory compliance.
• Oversee development, characterization, and qualification of composites, adhesive systems, metallic finishes, and other interior materials.
• Partner with Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to industrialize new materials and processes and improve manufacturability.
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for material/process nonconformities to ensure long-term robustness.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, research institutions, and industry partners.
• Champion process optimization, automation opportunities, and documentation improvements to increase efficiency and readiness.
• Manage resources, project priorities, budgeting, and staffing to align with company goals.
