Job summary

ES&H Technical Services, L.L.C. seeks a Global Material Compliance Engineer to guide EHS, Trade Compliance and Legal teams.

The role will implement and maintain a global material compliance program for reporting to appropriate agencies, meeting global and regional policies, and collaborating with divisions and suppliers on relevant regulations. Travel up to 20% internationally; educate divisions on compliance requirements; review CoCs and material disclosures; maintain SCIP database and

Qualifications

Five to seven years of experience in global regulatory compliance, environmental compliance, or consulting fields.
Knowledge of EPA, TSCA, REACH, RoHS, SCIP, Prop65; as well as other related standards for environmental compliance.
Working knowledge of key international standards such as ISO9001 and ISO14001.
Experience with communicating environmental requirements to management and regulators.

Responsibilities

Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and standards for material compliance in US, Canada, Mexico and Europe for imported/purchased products.
Monitor and assure compliance with global, federal, state and local laws; assess impact of changes and implement actions with guidance from legal.
Liaise with Environmental Management and CSR groups; lead material compliance programs and write procedures.
Coordinate with local and international agencies to create and maintain regulatory documentation and Declarations of Conformity.
Organize audits/inspections and provide technical assistance on EHS standards.
Lead environmental meetings; prepare reports and maintain documentation.
Serve as environmental resource to divisions; provide guidance on material compliance.
Provide onsite training on material compliance topics; advise on customer site requests.
Use third-party software to submit regulatory questionnaires by suppliers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
