Job summary

Global Steel Trading is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple facilities in the United States and Mexico. The role reports to the Corporate Planning Vice President and Investment Management Team, driving safety performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive safety/EHS experience across facilities.
• CSP certification is preferred or active pursuit of certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
• Lead investigations of incidents and apply root cause analysis.
• Coordinate OSHA inspections and regulatory inquiries; manage corrective actions and documentation.
• Support ISO 45001 system development and auditing across sites.
• Provide EHS training on topics like lockout/tagout, hazard communication, and safe work practices.
• Partner with leadership to foster a safety-driven culture and continuous improvement.

Education

Bachelor's degree in OS/EHS

10 years of progressive safety/EHS experience

CSP certification preferred

ISO 45001 implementation/maintenance/auditing experience

Experience across multiple facilities
