Belimo, a global leader in energy‑efficient control systems, seeks a Buyer1 to manage purchasing for production in two USA plants and ensure materials are on hand to satisfy demand. You will expeditiously place and track orders, monitor SAP stock, and build strong supplier relationships to support production schedules.

You will leverage SAP, ERP tools, and negotiation skills to secure favorable terms, resolve shortages, and align with ISO 9001 quality standards.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field; high school diploma acceptable as alternative.
• 4+ years purchasing experience.
• Negotiation experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft programs and ERP systems.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team player.

Introduction

The Buyer1 is responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment and key production components from vendors. The Buyer 1 is assigned specific inventory items and vendors as needed for production in two USA plants and is required to have inventory on hand at all times in order to satisfy production demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Places, tracks and expedites orders with suppliers worldwide.
• Monitors stock levels in SAP on a daily basis to satisfy production demand.
• Pro-actively expedite orders to meet customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain personal contacts and partnerships with suppliers.
• Support for Team Leads, Sr. Buyers as needed for project and tasks.
• Assists purchasing and other departments to locate new suppliers and obtain quotes on materials.
• Responsible to manage supplier shortages and every day activities for assigned commodities (MRP) and work together closely to support Senior Buyers in all aspects of operational supplier management.
• Responsible for resolving quality cases that apply to suppliers which are managed by the buyer.
• Assists Team Leads, Sr. Buyers in implementation of short and long term market trends for responsible commodities.
• Works with Warehouse staff to resolve goods receipt issues.
• Evaluates and adjusts purchasing master data in SAP under guidance of Team Leads and Sr. Buyers.
• Work closely with accounting to resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Required Expertise

• Bachelor's Degree in business or related field strongly preferred. (High School Diploma/GED required)
• Must have 4+ years purchasing experience.
• Negotiation experience.
• Experienced in use of Microsoft programs and ERP-System.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Experience working according to ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Must be a team player with clear and concise communication skills, written and verbal.

Compensation & Benefits

Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The base pay for this position ranges from $65,000 - $80,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 7% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
