Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a senior specialist to lead material compliance initiatives across global regulations. You will interpret regulatory requirements, assess compliance risks, and drive improvements in processes and systems.

You will collaborate with suppliers, laboratories and internal teams to address challenges and support enterprise-wide compliance programs. The role emphasizes mentoring and developing compliance capabilities while enabling Polaris' strategic product lifecycle compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience in compliance testing, regulatory compliance, sustainability, environmental science, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of material compliance regulations and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and organizational levels.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead material compliance activities related to global regulations, including Prop 65, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, and PFAS.
• Perform advanced compliance assessments of BOMs, components, and materials to identify risks and support decision-making.
• Drive compliance strategy throughout the product lifecycle for new product development and existing products.
• Interpret and apply global regulatory requirements to products, components, materials, and supplier-provided information.
• Prepare compliance documentation, regulatory declarations, reports, and supporting records for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead change management activities related to regulatory updates and assess impacts on existing products and compliance programs.
• Serve as a technical resource for suppliers, laboratories, and regulatory agencies to support compliance verification and issue resolution.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain compliance processes, tools, and documentation systems to improve program effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, quality, and other cross-functional teams to address complex compliance challenges.
• Mentor compliance engineers and analysts by providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
