Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking an EHS&S Specialist for our Riverside, California facility. You will lead environmental, health, safety, and security programs across two shifts, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement.

You will partner with site leadership and corporate teams to support enterprise EHS initiatives and operational objectives. The role focuses on incident prevention, risk management, emergency preparedness, and site security, with meaningful ownership of site-wide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or related field.
• 1+ year of industrial EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience applying machine guarding and lockout/tagout regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental, health, safety, and security programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct inspections and audits; implement corrective actions and verify resolutions.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations; determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze EHS metrics and facility data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate EHS training programs including hazard communication and lockout/tagout.
• Serve as site resource for EHS compliance, safety of personnel and assets, and security matters.
• Manage regulatory inspections and readiness for reviews and audits.
• Provide technical guidance on environmental, safety, ergonomic, and security issues to plant personnel.
