Job summary

Vertiv Corporation seeks a Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to define, scale, and optimize the STL manufacturing system. You will shape future-state strategy, production systems, and capacity plans to enable long-term growth across facilities.

The role partners with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Automation, and Supply Chain to ensure scalable readiness and industrialization of new products and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing/advanced manufacturing engineering or related disciplines.
• Experience with manufacturing system development, launches, capacity growth, or factory expansion.
• Experience with facility layout planning, material flow design, capacity planning, or production system optimization.
• Knowledge of manufacturing readiness, industrialization, NPI, and production ramp methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project execution skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term manufacturing strategies aligned with future objectives.
• Develop factory planning, production system, and capacity expansion roadmaps.
• Evaluate future-state concepts, technologies, and operational models.
• Support major manufacturing investment decisions through analyses.
• Establish scalable manufacturing standards and best practices.
• Define production flow, material movement, WIP, storage, and handling strategies.
• Develop capacity models and production scenarios for growth planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, scalability, and performance.
• Lead planning for startup, commissioning, ramp, and industrialization.
• Communicate strategies, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
• Support expansion, transfer, and production launch activities.
