Job summary

Amazon’s AWS Manufacturing Operations and Industrial Engineering team in Bellevue, WA seeks a program manager to own factory layout and material flow across rack fulfillment sites. You’ll bridge capacity planning, automation, and construction to scale infrastructure for EC2, ML, and Storage hardware.

Lead cross-functional teams, publish standards, drive continuous improvement, and maintain a living layout document.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical product management, program management or engineering experience.
• 10+ years of cross-functional collaboration across several teams, or a Bachelor's with 6+ years delivering cross-functional projects.
• Associate's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or related field, or 5+ years in industrial/manufacturing engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Translate rack fulfillment capacity plans into data-driven facility layouts for AWS manufacturing operations, end-to-end material flow from dock to dispatch across EC2, ML, Storage platforms.
• Design factory floor layouts including automation stations, manual zones, test positions, and burn-in workflows with optimal buffer sizing and material handling specs.
• Develop and maintain industrial simulation models (FlexSim, Plant Simulation, etc.) to identify bottlenecks and optimize material flow and throughput metrics.
• Coordinate power, cooling, network, and air requirements with facilities and construction teams for layout readiness.
• Manage phased layout plans aligned with construction milestones and maintain clear layout change control with visuals (2D/3D layouts).
• Drive continuous improvement by owning the factory layout as a living document and enabling rapid capacity deployment for new products.
