Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Manager to partner with Engineering, Procurement, Category Management and Sourcing to shape the machining supply base strategy. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Global Machining Category Management and lead strategy development and supplier engagements.

You will negotiate TCO, lead times, and performance, manage master agreements, and drive supplier scorecards and quarterly reviews to ensure continuity and cost efficiency across global suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, business, or supply chain.
• 5+ years of supplier-management experience in machining or similar industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the machining category strategy.
• Act as single point of contact for key strategic suppliers.
• Improve supply chain efficiency and solve dynamic problems.
• Negotiate lowest total cost of ownership, lead times, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage master supply agreement construction and contract reviews.
• Performance manage suppliers via scorecards and quarterly reviews.
• Lead dual sourcing and new supplier identification.
• Communicate strategy and risk mitigation to stakeholders.
• Oversee projects and support sourcing activities.
