Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking a Global Supplier Manager to partner with Engineering, Procurement, and Sourcing to develop and refine the machining supply base strategy. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Global Machining Category Management and drive supplier engagements globally.

You will lead dual sourcing, negotiate terms, manage master agreements, and monitor supplier performance with scorecards. Up to 25% travel required with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain; master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years in supplier management for machining or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine machining category strategy.
• Serve as single point of contact for strategic suppliers.
• Improve supply chain efficiency and solve dynamic problems.
• Negotiate lowest total cost of ownership/best price, OTD, lead times, and satisfaction.
• Manage master supply agreement construction, reviews, and updates.
• Manage global supplier performance using scorecards and reviews.
• Lead dual sourcing, resourcing and new supplier identification.
• Communicate strategy and risk mitigation to stakeholders.
• Oversee projects with assigned key suppliers.
• Support sourcing activities and new supplier introduction.
• Travel up to 25%.
