Job summary

LyondellBasell in Houston seeks a Global Machinery Engineering Manager to lead a global team of engineers dedicated to safe, reliable, and cost-effective machinery across our manufacturing network. You will set priorities, guide asset strategies, mentor engineers, and partner with sites, procurement, and suppliers to improve reliability and lifecycle performance.

This leadership role requires deep turbomachinery knowledge, a track record with capital projects, and the ability to drive change

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Advanced degree or relevant certification preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of machinery engineering experience, including petrochemical/refining environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead global machinery engineers and specialists, set priorities, manage performance, and mentor staff.
• Provide strategic leadership for reliability, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and lifecycle decisions.
• Maintain machinery engineering standards and foster knowledge transfer across sites and functions.
• Direct resources for major machinery capital projects and provide oversight for turnarounds and asset strategies.
