Job summary

LyondellBasell Industries in Edison, New Jersey, seeks a Rotating Equipment Engineer to support plant operations, maintenance, and reliability. You will lead reliability initiatives, develop preventive maintenance tasks, and coordinate with process engineers and vendors to improve safety and asset availability.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 5–10 years of experience with pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment, plus knowledge of ASME/API/ANSI

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
5–10 years of rotating equipment experience in refining/chemical industries.
Ability to drive safety and reliability improvements.
Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external clients.
Familiarity with ASME, API, and ANSI codes.

Responsibilities

Be the site SME for machinery assets (pumps, compressors, fans, gearboxes).
Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements.
Develop and optimize preventive maintenance tasks.
Lead incidents investigations and root cause analysis.
Support turnaround planning and equipment upgrades.
