Job summary

Milacron in Batavia, Ohio seeks a Global Category Manager for Machined Parts & Outside Processing to develop and execute global sourcing strategies across Milacron’s operations.

You will lead supplier identification, qualification, and negotiation of pricing and long-term agreements, while managing supplier performance and assessing total cost across freight, duties, tariffs, inventory, and quality. Domestic and international travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of sourcing, procurement, or category management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with supplier negotiations, contract development, and cost savings.
• Experience managing suppliers across multiple regions.
• Experience with total cost analysis, including freight, duties, and tariffs.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
• Experience sourcing machined components and outside processing services preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings preferred.
• Lean principles and supplier development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global category strategies for machined parts and outside processing.
• Lead supplier identification, qualification, selection, and rationalization.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and long-term supplier agreements.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance.
• Evaluate total cost, including part price, freight, duties, tariffs, inventory, and quality.
• Monitor market conditions, capacity constraints, tariffs, and supply risks.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams.
• Support make/buy and regional sourcing decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, lead time, and supply continuity.
